Kaci Garcia, Psy.D.
Post Doctoral Fellow
Dr. Garcia is a Post-Doctoral Resident who received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Florida Institute of Technology. Throughout her training, she has developed her passion for mental health through an array of both research and clinical experiences. Her dissertation research focused on creating normative data for concussion testing in both athlete and non-athlete populations. She completed her pre-doctoral internship training at AllCare Medical Centers in Sarasota, Florida. Dr. Garcia has experience working with a wide range of psychological disorders in the areas of individual and group therapy, assessment, and consultation. She has clinical experience in various treatment settings including outpatient neuropsychological assessment centers, primary care medical offices, inpatient rehabilitation centers, psychological hospitals settings, and private practice. Dr. Garcia implements an integrative theoretical approach to treatment based on the individual needs of her clients, including evidenced based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Dr. Garcia specializes in providing psychotherapeutic interventions for individuals dealing with trauma related disorders, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, interpersonal difficulties, and stress management.
